ALOHA!—-Arrived home yesterday & upon reflecting on the experience of the ParaOlympics, 2008 —I want to express my gratitude & joy of being a spectator at the games! Mahalo’s to you, your teammates, & coaches for providing us with unbelievable excitement ( USA game) & a gutty performance against the Aussies in the final. Fell a little short but you guy’s will never be short in my books! Thanks for everybody signing my Chinese smoking jacket—When I pick up the jacket in Fergus next week( Pat-you promised that it would be there) I am going to blow some smoke & feel PROUD that I was along for the great RIDE! re: the Aussies. not enough is ever said about the guys like Brendon, Grant, Tige, Michael, and Adrian. they played great – unsung heroes really. they played their team game perfectly. congrats to them all – well deserving of Gold.

and Pat, don’t be too hard on yourself. you played great as usual. but you did not get much help from the rest of us.

Oh well, coming to the second in such a big event could be a little tough, but you and your team were still great in any sense and achieved a lot. Maybe you just needed a little luck. Don’t be too harsh to yourself.
