Introducing Team Canada

It’s been two months since selection camp in Regina and the naming of the team going to Beijing, but it wasn’t until our recent trip to Osnabrueck that all twelve players were together in one place at the same time, along with most of the staff.  We took the opportunity to snap a few photos.  This one was taken immediately after a game, so you’ll have to excuse the dirty jerseys and perhaps the fact that I couldn’t find the camera.  I believe I was still dizzy from spinning in circles all game.  I’m fast, but slow in acquiring what Frog calls “smart speed”. (Sounds like a contradiction in terms to me, but that’s just little Pat talking).

Of course, with respect to all the talented and dedicated people who contribute to the strength of our program, the list below is far from exhaustive.

From left to right….

back row standing - Jerry Tonello (coach), Brett Nagata (athletic therapist), Jamie Peers (coach), Paul Bowes (coach), Jeff Dunbrack (manager), Nic Zeltinger (coach and/or spy for the German team), Darrell Nordell (coach)

middle row - Adam Lancia, the ghost of big Pat (may he rest in peace), David Eng, Joey Johnson, Yvon Rouillard, Jaimie Borisoff (shameless salesman), Richard Peter, Mike Frogley (coach)

front row - Ross Norton, little Pat, Bo Hedges, Abdi Fatah Dini, Dave Durepos, Chris Stoutenberg

not shown – Judy Goss (“head” coach), Alexis Williams (dietician), Denise Vandermeulen (physiotherapist), James Laskin (physiotherapist), Chris Dal Cin (strength and conditioning coach)
